Violeta De la Serna
After studying Art Critique in Florence, Italy she began working as an Art Consultant at the age of 20, while continuing her Bachelor's of Science in Advertising through the Art Institutes.
In 2004, Ms. De la Serna partnered in her first gallery venture on Maui's famous Front Street in Lahaina, HI. For three consecutive years, the gallery, Lahaina Art Center, was recognized as “The only art experience you don’t want to miss!” by Art Guide Maui. She returned to the mainland and founded VDLS Contemporary Art in 2007, an art advisory and curation firm that collaborated with clients such as Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, Peter Lik, Avant Gallery and several others.
Early 2010 lead to the adventure of a lifetime for Violeta. She was recruited as program director for an international art production company and travelled to over fifty countries, leading an art program that resulted in multi-million dollar art sales. She returned to America from Hong Kong in December of 2012 and was soon after hired by Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine and Plein Air Magazine as their International, Integrated Marketing Manager. There she worked with hundreds of artists and events on marketing, media planning and PR strategy; while also working with international art fairs on media sponsorships and partnerships for the magazines.
As Director of Artcentric House, Violeta connects clients with the appropriate experts and artists; as well as working with Resident Artists on career direction, branding, product development and strategy.
